“I want that guy here asap. Do you hear me? I don’t care. I can’t leave so I want him here. Do you understand me?”
“Y-yes sir, got it”
“Good. I want him here quick.”
I cut the call as I tossed my phone aside and sighed as I ran my fingers through my hair.
“What’s got you so riled up?”
I turned around to look at Gede eyeing me suspiciously.
“Nothing man, just the Jones case”
“Who are you fooling? of how much I heard, it seemed more than that. It sounded almost…personal”
He looked at me
“Wait, was it?”
“Was it what?”
‘Was it personal?...Now that I think about it, you seemed bothered when I declared Claire as the suspect. Wait, did you know her?”
I sighed.
“Yes, I did. But it doesn’t matter. That’s part of my personal life and this is work.”
“Yeah, You’re right. I won’t bug you over it, but if you ever need someone to listen to you, I’m here, ok?”
I just nodded.
“So about that stalker guy, got any info on him?”
“I traced that guy. His name is Chad Jackson. He’s 33, living somewhere in Manhattan. He stalked her about 3 years back, with these cryptic messages or notes and suddenly stopped, only to do it once again right before this trip of hers. Don’t you find it suspicious. The timing is way too perfect”
“Yeah, it’s like this was planned.”
“Exactly my point.”
“Do you think there’s only one person behind this or multiple people?”
“I’m not sure. But I think that the person who murdered Ethan and Claire were different. There’s such a noticeable difference between the murderers. Ethan was mercilessly tortured and stabbed multiple times. He was tortured to death. While claire…”
“She was just stabbed enough to kill her”
“Yes, that’s what I mean”
“Do you think anyone out of the people in the mansion could have done it?”
“At first I thought that it may be Liam, but looking at his body language and the way he reacted, it’s most likely not him”
“Any other suspects?”
“I don’t think so. I can’t read that Clark guy. He appears to be somewhat smart and innocent, but I’m not sure. I can’t say if he’s putting up a facade of he’s just like that”
“Hmm, maybe keep a close eye on him”
“Yes, that’s exactly what I’ll do. I’ll keep an eye on everyone but especially on him”
∞∞∞
“Sir, he’ll reach there in about an hour”
“Perfect. I want the guy you’ve sent with him to come right here, till my doorstep with him. Got it?”
He gulped. “Y-yes sir.”
“Alright now. I want absolutely no mistakes” I said and cut the call
Soon enough I’ll meet that guy.
I looked over at Gede as he seemed engrossed in something
“What are you up to?”
“I’m ruling down the most suspicious people and from what you said, it’s Carl so far”
“Maybe we’ll get more info after I talk to that bastard”
“Hmm, maybe”
He went back into what he was doing as I had all the chats in prints in front of me and other evidence on the other table

The doorbell rang and I opened it to see another man with the stalker guy, he seated Chad on a chair and nodded before leaving.
Soon the door was closed and I cuffed the guy up as I tied his legs to the chair. He won’t be able to escape from here anyway.
He bore his plain black eyes at me, as I looked him up and down.
“Who the fuck are you? And what place is this?!!”
His blonde hair standing up at all the sides of his head, his hands slightly bruised as he tried to move his tied legs apart.
I smirked. Your worst nightmare, bastard.
“Don’t even try, it’s pointless” I said as I yawned.
“What did I even do? Why am I here?”
“Does Claire Davis ring a bell?”
His frustrated expression turned into a smirk.
“Ah, Claire. So that’s why I’m here? Little, sweet Claire” He chuckled with his disgustingly perfect yellow teeth on display “Did she tell you about our little chats?”
“Cut the act. I’m giving you a chance, confess”
“Confess what? My undying love for her?” He suggested sarcastically.
I glared at him
“Or maybe you call it an obsession”
“Sure, I’ll tell you all about it. I was once walking by as she was in a garden. After I saw her once, I knew what I wanted. So I started following her around, clicking pictures of her and sent them right at her door. I sent her my sweet little messages and notes.”
My jaw clenched as he started narrating his creepy obsession with claire
“...and so, yeah. That’s all about our beautiful story. Amazing, isn’t it?”
“You really have the audacity to sit here narrating your crime to me as if it’s the greatest achievement” I scoffed
“Your creepy obsession is a crime and you’ll be sentenced. To all this stalking plus murder”
“Murder, what murder?”
“Don’t play coy with me, the murder of claire davis”
“What? She’s dead?”
I looked at him and he really seemed clueless
“I really had nothing to do with it, she should’ve been mine. She’s fucking dead?”
I rolled my eyes and called for Gede
“Arrest this bastard and make sure he doesn’t get out easily”
He nodded as he dragged him, taking him away. The other people were already outside. Now, taking him away.
This fucking bastard.
But it doesn’t seem like him.
Then who? Lord, this case is so frustrating.
Iris
A few days ago
Her light brown hair reached upto her thighs. She smiled sitting on the wet grass as she looked at me. Her light blue beautiful eyes glanced at my dark brown ones. She laughed as I smiled looking at her.
“Sissy?”
“Yes, Em?”
“When will we meet again?”
“Soon Em, soon. It won’t be long”
The beautiful smile gracing her full, light pink lips turned to a frown as her button nose scrunched up.
“Iris”
I looked at her
“Don’t do it. It’s not worth it”
“It is. After what he did to you, he deserves it.”
“But sissy, you’re better than that”
I shook my head
“No I’m not, not anymore”
“You shouldn’t do this”
“But I have to, Em. I couldn’t fulfil my promise but now it’s time that he learns what messing with you leads to”
“It’s not your fault. You tried your best”
“But it wasn’t enough. I promise he’s not getting away with this”
She just sighed as she slightly nodded and started walking away
I jolted awake, what I just dreamt of, still clear in my mind. With determination I got up as I went about my day. I’ve never been more sure of anything in my entire life.
